The Misfits Market Expo is a locally created and organized event by Dustin Smith and Jessica Yap,
two best friends with a shared interest in unique artistry, equality, and supporting the local business scene.
The expectation and goal of Misfits Market has always been to create an event that will provide a safe space for all people to come together and share common interests with those around.
The first event that was held in 2023 hosted just a little over 30 vendors for one day only.
After weeks of reading all the feedback from everyone, it really showed how capable the growth of MME could be. In 2024, MME tripled in vendors and event space which made it possible to increase into a 2 day event.
The 2025 Misfits Market Expo was able to pull in more of the local business community from West, TN and surrounding areas and even exceeded  Tennessee to host vendors from distancing states.
This annual event has brought so much more than just a platform to support small businesses,
it has created a community in itself where everyone is welcome, one  that will continue to grow into its own family of Misfits.
